Our History

On March 29, 2000, our club was chartered with 20 members, with Dale Boulden serving as our first President. To date, our club numbers 25, with nine charter members still active: Philip Bye, David Hagwood, Lewis Hannah, Lonnie Hedrick, Rita Hines, Linda McLamb, Carol Sims and Jean Stevens. This year, we were honored in becoming a 100% Paul Harris Fellows Club which means all members have contributed $1000 to the Rotary International Foundation. Garner Mid-Day Rotary is one of seven out of 42 in our District to be so designated.
